Shopify App Privacy Policy

This Shopify App Privacy Policy explains how ZEROGRAVITYCO LTD, trading as ZERO GRAVITY Apps ("we", "us", or "our"), collects, uses, stores, and protects information when merchants install or use our Shopify apps, including our size chart and size recommendation app.

This section applies specifically to our Shopify apps and should be read together with our general Privacy Policy.

Information we collect from merchants

When a merchant installs or uses our Shopify app, we may collect and process the following information:

  • Store name and Shopify shop domain
  • Merchant contact details, such as email address, where provided by Shopify or the merchant
  • App installation, configuration, and usage settings
  • Size chart content created by the merchant
  • Product, collection, tag, vendor, and product type data needed to assign size charts
  • Theme or app embed status needed to help the merchant display the app correctly
  • Metafields, metaobjects, or other Shopify data used to store or display size chart information
  • Technical logs, such as request data, error logs, timestamps, and app activity needed for security, support, and troubleshooting

We only access Shopify data that is required to provide, maintain, and improve the app.

Information we collect from shoppers

Our app may display size charts or size recommendation tools on a merchant's storefront.

If a shopper uses a size recommendation tool, they may enter measurements such as height, weight, chest, waist, hips, foot length, or other sizing information depending on the merchant's configuration.

Unless clearly stated otherwise, measurements entered into the size recommendation tool are processed temporarily to calculate a size recommendation and are not stored by ZERO GRAVITY Apps.

We do not use shopper measurement data for advertising, profiling, or resale.

How we use information

We use the information collected through the app to:

  • Provide and operate the app
  • Display size charts on Shopify product pages
  • Assign size charts to products, collections, tags, or other rules selected by the merchant
  • Provide size recommendations where the feature is enabled
  • Save merchant app settings and configuration
  • Provide customer support
  • Monitor app performance and fix technical issues
  • Prevent abuse, fraud, or security issues
  • Comply with legal and Shopify platform requirements

We do not sell merchant or shopper personal data.

Shopify API access

Our app may access Shopify APIs to read or manage data required for the app to work. This may include products, collections, themes, metafields, metaobjects, and store information.

The app only uses Shopify API data for the purpose of providing the app functionality requested by the merchant.

Data sharing and subprocessors

We may share limited information with trusted service providers who help us operate the app. These may include:

  • Hosting providers
  • Database providers
  • Error logging and monitoring tools
  • Analytics tools used to understand app performance
  • Email or support tools used to respond to merchant requests
  • Shopify, where required for platform functionality and compliance

These providers are only allowed to process information as needed to provide their services to us.

We do not sell personal information to third parties.

Data retention

We retain merchant app data for as long as the app is installed and as needed to provide the service.

When a merchant uninstalls the app, we will delete or anonymise app related store data within a reasonable period, usually within 30 days, unless we are required to keep certain information for legal, tax, fraud prevention, security, or dispute resolution purposes.

Some data may remain in backups for a limited time before being securely deleted according to our backup retention processes.

Data security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information processed by the app. These measures may include access controls, secure authentication, encryption where appropriate, logging, and restricted access to production systems.

No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International data transfers

ZEROGRAVITYCO LTD is based in the United Kingdom. Some of our service providers may process data outside the United Kingdom or European Economic Area. Where this happens, we take appropriate steps to protect the information in line with applicable data protection laws.

Merchant and customer rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under data protection laws, including the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of personal information.

Merchants can contact us directly to request access to or deletion of app related data.

Shoppers should usually contact the Shopify merchant directly, as the merchant controls their storefront and customer relationship. Where required, we will assist merchants in responding to valid privacy requests.

Cookies and tracking

Our app may use limited technical cookies, local storage, or similar technologies where required for app functionality, storefront display, user preferences, or performance monitoring.

We do not use shopper measurement data for behavioural advertising.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Shopify App Privacy Policy from time to time. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
